JOB DESCRIPTION :

Well versed in one or more of the following protocols: 802.1ad, 802.3ad, Metro Ethernet Bridging, MPLS, PWE3, STP/RSTP, RMON1/2, TCP/IP.
Knowledge of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards
Hands on experience designing, implementing, and integrating embedded firmware for communications products
Experience working with real-time debugging & profiling tools
Familiarity with the Motorola Power PC family of microprocessors
Experience working with redundant systems
Extensive experience with Intelligent Switch Solution (ISS) workgroup or other L2/L3 switching and routing solutions software packages
Ability to interface with and write microcode for Network Processors - preferably the Xelerated X11
Experience working with QoS and traffic management chips - preferably the Dune FAP20
Proficient in C/C++
Real time operating systems vxWorks/Linux
